This is the page where we can pray for one another! Please just post a comment with your prayer request and I will visit each day to lift your needs before the Throne of Grace! Pray without ceasing! We can pray without ceasing when we lift up the needs of one whom the Lord brings to mind.
(Act 12:5) Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
(Rom 1:9) For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
(1Th 5:17) Pray without ceasing.
(2Ti 1:3) I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

I don’t know if Mickey from Days in the Life… will come here to post a prayer request, so I will do it for him.
Please pray for his son, Cody, who is battling life with neuroblastoma. I enjoy Mickey’s posts at his blog (link on my main page) because he includes pictures of Cody and gives day-to-day details. I have gleaned from Cody’s experiences – he’s my hero

April 1, 2008 at 11:15 pm
We will pray for wisdom in this matter for sure!! Is a mastectomy a possibility rather than chemo and radiation?
April 2, 2008 at 1:46 am
Yes, it is one of the options, for sure. I just do not know what to do! My heart is so saddened. I just never thought it would be anything! I thought they were just being overly cautious! I am having a hard time getting my thoughts strat on this. I need my Lord! Thank you for your prayers, they mean so very much to me!
April 2, 2008 at 7:27 pm
I am praying for peace as you make this decision.

Hi my name is Joe ,my wife debbie who is forty has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. We just adopted three boys age 3,4, and 6 and had adopted one previously who is now 15. We would like to ask you to pray for the strength to get through this as the world is trying to kill her off with there beliefs with Jesus. We believe that by His stripes she has been healed. But as you all know that are going through this type of problem people think we are nuts and are always pointing out how bad things look. we both believe that however this ends up something good will come of this but it is not always easy to remain strong. I know Iam in the wrong section but I didn’t know where to put my prayer request
God Bless You All and Grant you all the strength to get through these tough times
April 30, 2008 at 11:26 am
Joe, I would be honored to pray for Debbie. You were exactly in the right section to post your prayer request. The Lord sees the big picture and has a purpose for this lung cancer in your lives! I am praying for your precious family and praying God’s healing for Debbie!! Kate

Hi to all
A friend has made this link below for my wife, it allows people to go here and get updates on our current situations and updates so the phone is not constantly ringing I am including it here because I thought maybe it will help in your current situations also,as it becomes almost an effort to tell the same story twenty times a day. Kate thank you so much for your response as i looked back on your request I felt i also needed to Pray for you as well as your request and Donna as I know how her life has also just changed dramaticly with one small visit to the doctors office. I could say i stumbled on this site accidently, but if so it was probably a divine stumble. the Link is http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/debbiesweda.
this Might help others to keep track of what is going on in your life. This is my wifes page but you certainly could make your own. Again thanks for your prayers I will also pass on your prayer request.

When I found this site I had not had a chance to go through it all. Kate this site is absolutly beautiful. I am am also a new caregiver to a spouse and at times find it incredibly heartbreaking. My wife and I are both believers and I try to show her how strong my faith is by being as up beat as i can, but watching your loved one go through this is an undescribable hurt that seems to impossible to be real. I try not to give satan any glory, but sometimes I walk by site and no by faith. The stories you have on here our an inspiration to me, and it helps me to realize i am not alone as i am sure everyone in this posistion feels at times. sometimes when i feel my cross is to heavy and i feel I can’t go on I stop and just pray for help, and things like your site show up. Jesus was given help when his cross was to much to bare, and the Lord realizes when we can’t go on an He sends us a helper if we just ask so thank you Kate for this beatiful site.
May 4, 2008 at 6:32 pm
Thank you for dropping by, Joe. I will continue to pray for your dear wife and for you!! God bless!
May 7, 2008 at 3:21 pm
Please keep my beloved in prayer for Monday as he meets with the surgeon. I believe they will do another sigmoidoscopy to determine how much the tumor has shrunk. The last one was painful and had to be rescheduled so he could be put to sleep. Please pray that he would be able to go through with the test without a glitch
Thank you!!! Kate
May 19, 2008 at 8:13 pm
I know this prayer request is sort of selfish, but I ask you to join me in petitioning the Lord to allow John to have his surgery at Fair Oaks Hospital. It is a little closer, but mainly it is because all of their rooms are private rooms. I would be allowed to spend the night and care for my beloved. Thank you for your prayers!
May 20, 2008 at 5:28 pm
I am so excited to report to ya’ll that April had her petscan last week and her cancer is in remission! Praise be to God – give glory to our Heavenly Father!
She will still need your prayers as the doctor wants her to still have radiation, just to make sure.
May 27, 2008 at 3:59 pm
Please pray for David Hollaway and his family. This is my best friend’s uncle. He has liver cancer and they are not treating it. He is hoping to live long enouph to see their new grandchild come into the world.
Also, as you know, my daddy… Don Paulson. He has prostate cancer but his PSA score has been 0 for quite a while so that is good. He still takes his shots every 3 months which causes some side effects. He is 77 years old and I would appreciate your prayers for him.
Thank you, Kate! Your prayers and your friendship means so much to me.
Tobitha

Hi Kate
Haven’t wrote in along time but I am looking for some serious prayer as my Wife had her first ct scan since this mess began we are petitioning that she will receive positive results as her spirits are down probably do to the chemo it is a strange drug. So where to or more, and the more the better are gathered in His name. Thanks again Kate for your site
July 2, 2008 at 8:04 pm
Hi Joe. I am praying for your dear wife. Please let us know how your wife’s results turn out!
Kate
July 3, 2008 at 3:24 am
Hi Kate
My wife’s Ct scan was not a great answer but it was not bad either The doctor just said the size of the tumor was the same. there is still fluid around the heart and Lung but nothing to be real concerned with. Shrinking would have been good but not growing will also work in this situation. We are still believing that by his stripes she has been healed but it really is a test of faith some days . I really thank you for your prayers and again you have a wonderful site for people in our situations it gives us a place to go when all other paths seem to offer no hope.
July 3, 2008 at 11:19 am
Hi Joe,
I’m sorry that the scan did not show any shrinkage. However, the Lord is our Father – Abba Daddy – and He knows just what you and your wife need to bring glory to Him!! That’s what it’s all about in these trials. I do not know how the unsaved make it through a trial such as this without the Lord to lean on! Praise the Lord that you are saved and are able to draw upon His strength when yours is insufficient! God bless you dear brother and please let your dear wife know that she is in our prayers!
Kate

Please join me in praying for Jack H. He starts chemo tomorrow!
July 9, 2008 at 5:36 pm
I thought I had posted this already but I must have forgotten
Please join me in praying for a sister in Christ named Joan. She has had cancer in the back of her throat. It has come back twice now and she just had surgery on Monday to remove the tumor. She has a trach tube, a feeding tube, a bandage on her wrist where they removed skin to graft to the back of her tongue (down her throat) and a bandage on her thigh (I think that’s where) where they removed tissue to graft on her wrist! She is out of ICU as of last night and probably will not be out of the hospital for another week. Please pray that this surgery lessens the possibility of the cancer reoccuring. Thank you!!!
July 14, 2008 at 11:11 am
Please pray for Milton Verts when the Lord lays him on your heart. He is having surgery today to remove part of his lung due to cancer. The surgery is scheduled for 11:15. I will post his status today! Thank you!!
July 14, 2008 at 11:11 am
An update on Joan – she’s doing better but still in the hospital. Please continue to pray.
July 14, 2008 at 11:13 am
I’d like to let you all know that Mrs. Pam Ianello went home to be with the Lord about 3 weeks ago. I just found out last week and had forgotten to let ya’ll know. Please pray for her dear husband and those she left behind as they miss her!
September 15, 2008 at 6:38 pm
Hi Everyone,
I am sending out a prayer request for a dear friend of mine Tina. Today is her first day of both radiation and chemo, she text me to let me know they just put the IV in her arm. She said it will be 4 hrs, so she is sitting in a recliner with a TV. The Dr. said it was found on the base of her tongue and @ the 4th stage. She will have 33 appts of this procedure.
she is 39 years old with a 17 year old son in the 12th grade. Please keep her in your prayers and her son as well.
We already know God has the last say so, not the doctor. Every case is different but they are belivers, and Christ says if you continue to have faith no matter what is said about your dignosis, and speak to yourself “By Jesus stripes i am healed” do not receive it pray ,pray and keep everyday alive just as if you did before.
This is a test, are you willing to have faith through it and stand no matter what is done, no matter what happens, no matter what is said. We are faced with many obstacles in our life and majority of the time they make us stronger in one way or another. sometimes its only a test to build character in some. Its true that everyone is not a survivor, but i am sure if a poll was taken; that it would show the ones who did not receive the message from the doctor and changed there entire lifestyles that those were more survivors than the ones who gave in or were just scared or just didi not know what to do. No one lives for ever, but my father lived 14 years later after the dr. dignosed him with only a year. He said no chemo ,no radiation he will just trust in christ and change his eating habits. He went to be with the Lord in 1999, but we enjoyed his presence for 14years more. Again every case is different, but GOD is the same GOD for everyone if we only trust and believe. So please keep her in your prayers.
Thank You,
Catherine Covington

Please pray for Bro. Tim’s dear wife. She was recently diagnosed with uterine cancer. God’s grace IS sufficient, the Word tells us. Please lift both of them as they struggle with this new diagnosis and pray for God’s daily grace as they start going through the process of treatments.
October 9, 2008 at 9:37 pm
Mrs Kate we thank you for your prayers. My wife will be seeing the gyn speciailist on the 14th of this month. She has a non aggressive cancer that is in stage 1 and it looks like it is contained in the uterus. The doctor that did her first surgery seems to think all they will need to do is do a hysterectomy and a possibility of radiation treatment and she should be fine. I just wanted to let you know a update. When I find out something Tuesday we will let you know. God Bless You. His grace is sufficent that is for sure.
Bro Tim

Thank You for your prayers and continue to pray for a speedy recovery.
